A 16-screen data sculpture that made a brand-new school feel like a community
When Avenues opened its doors, it faced a subtle challenge: how do you help the students of a brand-new school feel connected to one another? The answer occupied the 16-screen video wall at the heart of the school's central staircase: a node-based data visualization encompassing every student — their classes, preferences, and interests — hosted entirely within the school and private to its community. Students passing the installation could discover who else shared their interests, turning a piece of architecture into an engine of belonging. Delivered on time against a very tight deadline, the project showed how thoughtful data design can serve genuinely human ends.
